Hummus
Hummus, the popular dip made from chickpeas! Basically a healthy alternative to other dips. Yet the hummus from the supermarkets often turn out to be not so healthy at all. That’s why in this recipe we make hummus ourselves with the blender!

Preparation
Toast a handful of sesame seeds in a dry pan. Drain the chickpeas if canned and roughly chop the garlic. Keep about 10 chickpeas, we will use these later for the topping.
-
Blending
Add the sesame seeds, olive oil, salt, lemon juice (1/4), cayenne pepper and paprika and blend for about 2 minutes. Then add the chickpeas and blend again. Start on the lowest setting and increase the pace more and more. The hummus should be nice and smooth. You may choose to add more olive oil for a thinner result.

Finishing up
